It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Fleming (New Castle, Indiana), who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. As James Edward departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James Edward may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James Edward leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Fleming and Zelma Fleming (Lushell); and his siblings, Richard Fleming and Doris Sexton. He is survived by: his significant other DeeAnn Douglas; and his sons, Jeff Fleming (Angel) of Westfield, Jay Fleming (Kevin) of Indianapolis and Jody Fleming (Leslie) of New Castle.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362).
