He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Ripberger (Simmermeyer) and Joseph Ripberger; and his brother Joseph Ripberger. He is survived by: his children, Heather Corine Ripberger (Shanna Marsh), Sarah Jean Meador (Shawn Meador) and Joseph Michael Ripberger (Ellie Ripberger); his grandchildren, Nicholas Meador (Mychaela Adkison), Sydney Meador, Kyle, Braden Frankland, Rosa, Rico Martinez-Marsh, Violet Rose and Luke Henry Ripberger; his wife Beth McKechnie; his sisters, Barbara Hartman and Charlotte May; and his brother-in-law Michael McKechnie (Jaime Reyes).

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
