Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gloria Jean Bowling of New Castle, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 78, on January 12, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, L. Elmo Lewman and Opal M. Lewman (Stephens); her brother-in-law Herman Groce Jr.; and her grandchildren, Heather and Nicholas.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Bowling; her children, Andrew Chew (Teresa), Scott Bowling (Kari), Kristi Clarkson (Mike) and Shawn Thurston (Steve); her siblings, Faith A. Groce and Stephen C. Lewman; her siblings-in-law, Bill Bowling, Judy and Carolyn Bowling; her aunts, Ruby Docker and Margie Barnett; her niece Anessa Meadows (Jeremy); and her nephews, Zack Medford (Meredith Hiatt), John and Zach Lewman. She is also survived by several grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Castle/Henry County Humane Society, 11 Midway Drive New Castle, IN 47362.
