He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dickerson and Maggie Dickerson (Malone); his son James Lee Dickerson; and his siblings, Cordell, Bill Dickerson, Dorene Young and Rita Dickerson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Misty Rinberger (Garrett) of New Castle, Joani Dickerson of New Castle and Julie Blair of New Castle; his grandchildren, Dustin Elliott, Jackson Elliott, Addison Blair, Abram Blair, Alec Blair, Kyndel Curtis and Conner Curtis; the mother of his children Lorene Dickerson; and his sisters, Kathleen Willoughby of New Castle and Nadine Hacker (Raymond) of New Castle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
