He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Oakley and Kathleen Worthington (Nichols); his son David Ray Worthington; and his brothers, Ralph Eugene and James "Jim" Martin Worthington.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Melton, Tammy Dye and Billy Worthington; his stepdaughter Kennette Smith; and his sister Carolyn Sue Worthington Riall. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
