He was predeceased by: his son Joshua Thomas Shelton; his grandmothers, Lucille Leffew and Lynn Hicks; his uncle Edward Leffew; his mother Mary Katherine Shelton; and his brother Tommy Shelton.
He is survived by: his grandfather Ed; his wife Julie Shelton (Blackard); his daughters, Tracy, Lindsey Shelton and Tonya Newton; and his grandchildren, Max, Lucy, Sebastian and Anka.
