It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Travis of New Carlisle, Indiana, born in Salt Lake City, Utah, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence "Don" Weiss and Rhea "Verle" Weiss (Stewart); and her husband William Travis. She is survived by: her children, Laura Valdez (Tim) of Raton, NM and Mike Travis (Betsy) of La Porte, IN.; her grandchildren, Chris Thompson, Nathaniel Hebron, Colton Travis, Nick Travis, Hailey Hostetler and Luke Travis; her great grandchild Marcus Thompson; and her siblings, Janice Beaudry of Caldwell, ID, Carol Moore of Las Vegas, NV, James "Jimmy" Weiss (Margie) of Waldport, Tamera "Tami" Lee Richards and Gary Donald Weiss. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross or St. John's Lutheran Church.
