It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winifred Joann Scalf of New Albany, Indiana, who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Linda Armstrong (Gene) and George Martin (Wanda); her husband Elmer Scalf; her brother George Martin, Jr.; her granddaughter Britney Maddox; and her great grandchildren, Matthew Maddox and Bayleigh Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Christina Scalf, Marcia Hodges, Gene Linne (Susan), D. J. Scalf (Jamie), Nicki Scalf and Amanda Rogers (Michael); and her brothers, Russel (Denise), Steve (Donna) and Paul Martin (Tammy).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at the Fairview Cemetery (800 6th St, New Albany, IN 47150).
