William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Croft and Martha Croft (McKnight); and his brother James J. Croft. He is survived by : his wife Mae Croft; his children, William S. Croft (Rachel), Brian Croft (Cara) and Amy Beth Spraul (Greg); and his grandchildren, Samuel Croft, Abby Croft, Isabelle Croft, Claire Croft, Will Croft, Kate Spraul and Ella Spraul. He is also survived by his family and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E Market St, New Albany, IN 47150). A memorial service was held on Friday, July 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Clifton Baptist Church (1947 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY 40206).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Clifton Baptist Church in Bill's honor.

“Here is the rocket”

“Bill, my uncle taught me to tie my shoes about 57 years ago and I’m actually sitting on the couch he taught me on. He built the Mercury Redstone Estes rocket about 55 years ago and I have flown it many times. He made the tower on top out of toothpicks which has not survived the many flights. Thx for all the memories and many rounds of golf. Jerry Joe”

“Dr. Croft was a wonderful mentor in my youth. We both attended Clarksville High School and he had a great practice when I was a teenager. He allowed me to work in his office and learn the basics of what a “Great” physician can do to help those in need. Such a kind compassionate man and will be missed by many. I will pray for his family and peace be with them during this time of grief.”
