Tye Ashton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tye Ashton (New Albany, Indiana), who passed away on February 9, 2025 at the age of 52. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Tye Ashton to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father John A. Ashton. He is survived by: his wife Diane Ashton; his children, John "Ethan" Ashton and Lyndsay Carr; his grandchild Jude Garner; his pets, Ellie and Riley; his mother Janis Ashton; his sister Jennifer Horan (Cam); his nephew Connor Horan; and his niece Genevieve Horan. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

The family requests that contributions in Tye's memory be made to United Way or Floyd County Humane Society.
