Mona Catherine Lewen Obituary

We bid farewell to Mona Catherine Lewen of New Albany, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 6, 2024 at the age of 73. Mona Catherine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Maymon and Catherine E. Hoffman Maymon; and her sisters, Kim Maymon and Shanon Maymon. She is survived by: her husband Robert A. Lewen Jr.; her children, Dustin Lewen (Mary), Douglas Lewen (Wendy), Greg Lewen (Nikkita) and Liz Lewen (Savannah); her grandchildren, Charly Jo Storkman (Max), Leslie Taylor Lewen, Douglas B. Lewen Jr. (Savannah), Chayce Lee McNew (Caleb), Martin W. Lewen, Abby Gayle Lewen, Lilian C. Lewen, Lana Lewen, Liberty Lewen and Liam Lewen; her great grandchildren, Bowen Storkman, Ace McNew, Octavia Lewen and Ezra Lewen; and her siblings, Rhonda Eckert (Bob), John Michael Maymon (Sue), Joe Maymon (Kim), Archbishop of Philadelphia and the Diocese of E. Pennsylvania and Pat Maymon (Carol). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kraft Funeral Service (2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church (415 E 8th St, New Albany, IN 47150). An entombment was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at the Kraft Graceland Memorial Park (2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, IN 47150).
