He was predeceased by: his wife Kathryn A. Kovachik; and his parents, Tomas Tomaskovics and Elizabeth Tomaskovics. He is survived by: his children, John M. Kovachik (Carolyn) of Greenville, Indiana, Laura Wyatt of Sellersburg, Gloria Beirne (David) of Palmyra, Teresa Kovachik of New Albany, Tammy Sizemore (Gerald) of LaConia and Barbara Worman (Brian) of Jeffersonville, Indiana.. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Hwy 311, Sellersburg, IN 47172). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1415 Msh N Ln, Madison, IN 47250).
