She was predeceased by: her parents, Curran E. Morris and Willia Leora Morris (Cummings); her brothers, John Leslie Morris and Eugene Morris; and her husband Raymond Ries.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ries (Cindy), Dale Ries, Tim Ries (Anna), Edward Ries (Laura) and Roxanne McCarty (Kelly); her stepchildren, Carlotta Tennant Padgett (Robb), Richard Tennant (Pam) and Michelle Tennant; and her sister Leora Jane Morris-Powell (Terry). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the New Albany Floyd County Parks Department, 620 Park East Blvd, New Albany, Indiana, 47150, or to the New Albany Animal Shelter (ASPCA), 215 W. Market Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
