She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Tarter and Nettie Wilson Tarter; her former husband Herman Burkett; her husband Gerald Schoolcraft; and her siblings, Vera Hicks, Kenneth Tarter, Dana Humphrey, Lester Tarter, Bobby Tarter and Jerry Tarter.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Patience Williamson (Gene); and her grandchildren, Michael Roseberry (April), Karla Roseberry Fisher, Megan Pemberton (Brandon), Cortney Powers (Jonathon), Hannah Walker, Haylie Walker, Tyler Williamson and Chase Williamson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Charlestown Cemetery (522 Madison St, Charlestown, IN 47111).
