It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Theis (Gable) Stem (New Albany, Indiana), who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Theis and Josephine Theis. She is survived by: her children, Jack T Gable (Janice) and Janet J Gable (Donna Freeman); her grandchildren, Jyl Applegate (Billy) and Elizabeth Gable; and her caregivers, Erica Ehringer and Christine Slaughter.

The family requests contributions go to the New Albany Animal Shelter and St Marks UCC Soup Kitchen in New Albany.
