She was predeceased by: her parents, Royce Verdun Harrell and Betty Lou Harrell (Cavender); her son Nathaniel Speaks; and her son-in-law Andrew Duitz. She is survived by: her child Girl Scouts; her brother Royce Harrell (Carol); her children, Larry Hatfield (Julie), Thomas Raleigh (Mary Katherine), Royce Raleigh (Michele), Elizabeth Raleigh, Rebecca Raleigh, Deborah Pittman (Erik) and Kathryn Raleigh; her grandchildren, Carson, Kellen Raleigh and Pia Pittman; her former husband Richard Raleigh; and her pet Sassy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cynthia's name to Floyd County Animal Rescue League.
