She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Wheat and Nell Wheat (Wolfe); her husband Wilbur Sonner; and her siblings, Margaret Eisenmenger, Frank Wheat Jr. and John Wheat.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan Sonner and Alvin Sonner (Nina); her grandchildren, Melissa Williams, Michelle Pilcher, Jeremy Sonner and Lindsey Sonner; and her great grandchildren, Megan, Courtney, Lacey and Forrest. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
