He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas G. White and Ella M. Johnson; his wife Maphajean Hardin; his siblings, Dorothy Oney and Kenneth White; his grandson Dallas White; and his great grandchild Petra Roberts.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Roberts (Gary), Beverly White, Rhonda Williams (Bruce), Reva Kreie (David) and Charles Steven White (Vicki) of Nashville; and his brother Coleman White of Spencer, IN.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
