She was predeceased by: her husband Bill; her mother Helen Maree Birkmaier (Goding); her stepfather Edmund "Ed" Birkmaier; her stepbrother Gary Birkmaier; and her father Jesse Noel Gregory.

She is survived by: her children, J. Matthew Zimmerman (Shawn) of Ellicott City and Martha Maree Vorel (Honza) of Jackson, Wyoming; her grandchildren, William Powell Zimmerman, Claire Maree Zimmerman, Addy Maree Vorel and Elsa Anja Vorel; her sister Janis Noel (Gregory); her brother-in-law John Funk; her stepbrother Bob Birkmaier; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Billman (Zimmerman) and Kathey Birkmaier (Rinehardt). She is also survived by her many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
