He was predeceased by: his father Harold M. Means; and his siblings, Mark, Scott, Von 'Zeke' and Ray Means.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Leona Baker (Kean) of Nashville; his children, Bernard Means Jr. (Alex) of Tennessee, Amber McCollough (Eric) of Greencastle, John Baker (Amber) of Bloomington, Leah Means (Robert Holland) of Nashville and Jonathan Reimer (Eva) of Columbus; and his sisters, Dawn Britton of Indianapolis, Tonnie Shehan of Bloomington and Catherine Mefford (William) of Nashville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
