He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Burkholder and Edna Burkholder (Schlabaugh); and his brother Walter Burkholder, Jr. (Lavern). He is survived by: his children, Steven Burkholder (Linda), Gary Burkholder, Lavern Burkholder, Jr. and Jolene Yoder (James); his siblings, Glen Burkholder (Freida), Wade Burkholder (Miriam), Norman Burkholder (Dora) and Rosa Burkholder; and his sister-in-law Eva Burkholder. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
