He was predeceased by: his parents, John Borkholder and Sarah Borkholder (Miller); his wife Etta Schmucker; his siblings, Roman, Gilbert, Tobias, LeRoy, Eddie Borkholder, Malinda Bontrager, Katie Yoder and Ruby Yoder; and his siblings-in-law, Mahlon Bontrager, Levi Yoder, Albert Yoder, Bertha Borkholder and Mary Ellen Borkholder.
He is survived by: his children, David Borkholder (Regina) of Milford, Ruth Miller (Glenn) of Nappanee, Rose Slabaugh (Kenneth) of Nappanee, Devon Borkholder of Pierceton and Jean Miller (James) of Nappanee; his siblings, Eli Borkholder (Clara), John Henry Borkholder (Roseanna) and Irene Lehman (Eli); and his sisters-in-law, Elnora Borkholder, Sharon Schrock and Edna Borkholder. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mark Borkholder Residence (13920 N 1100 W, Nappanee, IN 46550). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
