He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Henschen and Ruth Henschen (Yake). He is survived by: his wife Carol Bates; his children, Renee Schwartz (Matt), Rob Henschen (Kris) and Shelly Hochstetler (Todd); his grandchildren, Madelyn Peattie (Jacob), Zachary Schwartz (Madison), Cade Henschen (Alise), Paige Henschen (Jason Cripe), Kylie Zeltwanger (Joe) and Kennedy Hochstetler (Nate Newcomer); his great grandchildren, Leo Peattie and Calihan Schwartz; and his sisters, Sandra Loucks (Jim) and Karen Jessup (Bill).

Memorial contributions may be given to Bible Baptist Church, Wakarusa.
