He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Powers and Audrie Powers (Smith); his siblings, Kenny, Gary, Elizabeth Powers, Gladys Forwalt, Joanna Hendrix and Barbara Walterman; and his grandson Charles Craig Johannigman.

He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Johannigman (Charlie); his grandchildren, Christen and Matthew Johannigman; and his brothers, Anthony "Tony" of Napoleon and Richard (Linda) of Harrison, Ohio..
