He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Bright Brumback and Alvin G. Brumback; his siblings, Walter Glenn Brumback, Kenneth Ray Brumback, Willard Wayne Brumback and Rhonda Carol Brumback Riley; and his stepson Roger Allen Schirmer.
He is survived by: his former spouses, Devella Foster and Virginia Means Schirmer; his wife Barbara Ann DeFevere Arbuckle; his children, Alvin Brumback of Anderson, Indiana, Leona Brumback Peavler of Marion and Regina Brumback of Anderson, Indiana; his brothers, Roger Brumback of Jeffersontown and Edgar Brumback (Bonnie) of Carrollton, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Douglas, Logan, Brady, Brittany and Jaxsyn; his stepchildren, Bethany Edwards (Greg) of Scottsburg, Indiana and Kevin Arbuckle (Tammy) of Scottsburg, Indiana; his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Robbins, Justin Edwards (Olivia), Ariel Robbins of Anna Edwards, B. J, Liz Wimp and Lee Arbuckle; his brother-in-law David DeFevere (Barbara) of Louisville, Kentucky; and his mother-in-law Leona Courtney of Carrollton, Kentucky.
