He was predeceased by: his parents, James Karr and Mary Karr; his sister Nancy Melby (Jack); and his cousin Joe McFadden. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his children, Christina Sepiol (Richard), Penny Heuer (William, Sr.), Jim Karr (Heather) and Bill, Jr. Karr (Lynn); his sister Mary Ellen DeVoss (late Herb); and his pet Midas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
