He is survived by: his spouse Georgia Plantinga; his children, Scott Plantinga (Antoinette) of Huntington Beach, CA and Michelle Oakley (Shane) of Yukon Canada; and his grandchildren, Austin, Brock, Dylan, Jaden Plantinga, Sierra, Maya and Willow Oakley.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Calumet.
