He was predeceased by: his parents, Maycel Goldsmith and Edward Goldsmith; his wife Helen Goldsmith; and his sons, Jerry Goldsmith and Greg Goldsmith.

He is survived by: his daughter Linda Goldsmith-Slifer (Kirby) of Valparaiso, Indiana.; and his grandchildren, Sarah Perez (Keith) and Lauren Lewis.
