With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James William Yackel (Munster, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Erna. He is survived by: his brother John; his sister-in-law Clara Klatke; his children, Jonathan Yackel (Lisa), Juliet Yackel and Carolyn Yackel (Bobby Stecher); his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Sophia, Oliver, Grant and Henry; and his stepgrandchildren, Trey, Charlotte, Amelia and Riley.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (8955 Columbia Ave, Munster, IN 46321). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
