He is survived by: his parents, Elizabeth Schaffer and Herbert Schaffer Jr.; his children, Scott (Melissa), Marc (Megan) and Lauren (Josh); his wife Karin; his grandchildren, Samuel, Stella, Maya, Remy, Nellie, Juliette and Grayson; and his sisters, Linda (Jim) and Debbie (Ray). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
