He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Theresa Puente-Cortez; his children, Christina Cortez and Matthew Cortez; his siblings, Rosa Cazares (Jesse), Sara Cendejas (Ruben), Raquel Cendejas (Salvador), Elvia Franzese, Maria Gallardo (Nicholas), Joel Cortez (Elsa) and Marlene Madrigal (Roberto); his godchildren, Pedro Cortez, Jessica Puente and Isabella Puente; and his pet Maxwell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
