She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Layer and Mary Layer (Shields); her husband Alonzo L. Lacey; her brother Keith Layer; and her in-laws, Elnora Lacey, Roberta and William Lacey.

She is survived by: her children, David Lacey (Moni) of Columbus and Maryann Foltz (Gary) of Muncie; her grandchildren, LeAnne Jarvis (T. J.), Justin Lacey (Abbey), Hannah Ashton (Tim), Hillary Rhodes (Kevin) and Haley Sutton (Kyle); and her great grandchildren, Morgan Jarvis, Reagan, Lincoln, Elliot, Emerson Ashton, Jack, Amelia, Zara Rhodes, Hazel, Hattie and Harper Sutton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (6401 W River Rd, Muncie, IN 47304). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
