He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Lynn Hicks (Clyde Plank), Beverly Brand, Walter Joe "Chief" Hicks, III, Tammy Brown and Edward Hicks (Sonya); his close friend Alan Downham; and his pet Baby. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
