He was predeceased by: his father Matthew Francis Melvin; and his brother Matthew R. Melvin. He is survived by: his mother Irene Autero Melvin; his girlfriend Anne Contreras-Melvin; his children, Mark Contreras-Melvin, James Melvin and Rose Melvin; and his siblings, Eileen Federico and Michael Melvin.
