It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorene Ellen Waters (Muncie, Indiana), who passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Crawford Strunk, Johnny Strunk, Mildred Taylor and Mamie Perry; her husband Henney Dester Waters; and her son Gary Waters.
She is survived by: her sister Bertha Benge; and her children, Danny Waters, Stanley Waters (Laura), Wendell Waters (Tina), Regina Golliher (John) and Lisa Whittenburg (Jason). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westside United Baptist Church (3021 W Cornbread Rd, Muncie, IN 47302). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Westside Baptist Church (3021 W Cornbread Rd, Muncie, IN 47302).
