James left this world on February 13, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Newport and Ada Newport (Evans); his child Kerry Kelsey (Lisa); and his sisters, Amy Newport and Charlotte Newport.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his siblings, Joan Tom (Bill), Barbra Newport, Patricia Newport and Joe Newport (Vicky); and his children, Robert Newport (Mollie), Kim Drury and Kevin Jessee (Donna). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Elm Ridge Funeral Home (4600 W Kilgore Ave, Muncie, IN 47304). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
