He was predeceased by: his son James Alan Coffey; his son-in-law Mike Taylor; his parents, Dudley Coffey and Gertie Coffey; and his siblings, Benny Coffey, Kenneth Coffey, Jeweline Dobbs and William "Doc" Coffey.
He is survived by: his spouses, Betty S. Stephens and Betty S Coffey; his children, Steve Coffey (Cindy) of Texas and Cheryl Taylor (Coffey) of Muncie; his grandchildren, Chris Taylor of Muncie, Ryan Coffey (Lauren) of Texas, Adam Coffey of Texas, Justin Coffey of Texas, Jordan Coffey of Texas and Alex Coffey of Texas; his great grandchildren, Brock, Camedon and Mason Coffey of Texas; and his siblings, Larry Coffey and Phyllis Ferrara (Peter).
