She was predeceased by: her mother Kay D. Joy; and her sister Vicki Swafford. She is survived by: her children, Steve Nichols of Muncie, Kenneth Nichols Jr. (Katie) of Muncie and Cheryl Bartrum (Jeremy) of Upland; her grandchildren, Kelsie Nichols, Kaylie Nichols, Hannah Cash, Haylie Cash, Holley Bartrum, Hunter Cooper, Mason Nichols and McKenna Nichols; her great grandchildren, Alayah Foster, Tripp Bartrum, Maevry Bartrum, Xyelle Pegues and Kyzen Nichols; her father Charles L. Paul, Sr. of Muncie; her brothers, Rick Paul (Helen) of Ohio and David Paul of Muncie; and her half-brothers, Shawn Paul of Muncie and Charles L. Paul, Jr. of Muncie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
