He was predeceased by: his wife Helen B. Mellott; and his siblings, Earl Mellott, David Mellott and Mary Rector. He is survived by: his daughters, Terri Jackson and Lisa Ledbetter; his grandsons, Jeremy Jackson (Angie) and Bradley Jackson (Erin); his great grandchildren, Alexis and Jace Jackson; and his sister-in-law Linda Mellott. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tomlinson Cemetery (5301 S Old State Rd 67, Muncie, IN 47302).
