He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Prater and Maxine Prater (Wolfe); his son-in-law Mark Brumbarger; and his siblings, Barbara Jean Anderson, Raleigh "Jim" Prater and Andrew "Andy" Prater.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Kincheloe; his daughter Ruth Brumbarger of Bernard; his siblings, Tommy Prater (Judy), Mary Gullett (Phil) and Alice Par; his grandchildren, Kevin Brumbarger, Kendra Pierce (Kyle), Mackenzie Prater, Addison Prater, William LaGrange and Blake LaGrange; and his great grandchildren, Liala Brumbarger, Renly Brumbarger and Beau Pierce.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Day & Genda Funeral Home~mulberry Chapel (204 N Glick St, Mulberry, IN 46058). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
