He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dale and Frances Riggs (Galloway); his son David; and his siblings-in-law, Max and Mary Wastl.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Wastl; his son Alan Riggs (Angie) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Michael of Lafayette, Danielle of Lafayette and Joshua of Lafayette; his great grandchildren, Skylar, David, Juliette, Mason and Jensen; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Pritchard (Bob) and Mark Wastl (Jane). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Alan's name may be given to Franciscan Hospice.
