Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Thomas Upshaw of Mount Vernon, Indiana, born in New Harmony, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 84, on September 13, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Upshaw and Genevieve Upshaw (Phelps); his sister Doris June Cunningham; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Cunningham, Bill Meeks and Wilburn Dickhaut.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Upshaw (Dickhaut); his children, Brenda Bourne (Clay) and Tommy Upshaw (Karen); his grandchildren, Kendyl Bourne and Landon Upshaw; his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Bourne (Mindy), Erik Bourne (Jamie), Jesse Bourne, Reid, Brock and Jenna Veatch; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Bryce, Abbey, Mckynzie, Madyson, Brayden, Ashlyn and Austin Bourne; his brother Ron Upshaw (Connie); his sister-in-law Aletha Meeks; his nieces and nephews, Krissie Baehl (Nathan), Korrie Upshaw (Ann), Karen Evrard (Warren), Doris Strupp and Eric Dickhaut (Joanna); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aaron Valier (Kelsey), Jourdan Criswell (Seth), Michal McConville (Matt), Austin McConville, Alison Kissinger, Bradley Ziegler (Katy), Sydney Ziegler, Mason, Brayden Baehl and Hadley Upshaw; and his cousins, Delores Padgett, Carolyn Upshaw, Richard Upshaw and Marilyn Rumsey. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family requests that anyone who attends please wear a mask to protect themselves and others.
