She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Forthoffer and Elka Lee Forthoffer (Blackburn); her husband Will Elmer Thomas; her grandchildren, Gabriel Gordon and Ryan Bredemeier; and her sisters, Emily Claire Hester and Marjorie Beste.
She is survived by: her children, Matthew Thomas (Jane), Johna Bredemeier (Cary) and Molly Gordon (James III); and her grandchildren, Whitney Rutledge (Ethan), James Gordon IV, Noah Gordon, Ben Bredemeier (Alyssa), Beth Jetter, Andrew Bell (Carmen) and Stephen Bell. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
