He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette "Buck" Capes and Naomi Capes (Neuman); his siblings, Charles Capes and Linda Angermeier (Capes); and his pet Baby.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Capes; his children, Kristina Capes, Rachel Mohr (Brandyn) and Stephen Capes (Lacy); his grandchildren, Brendyn Mohr, Madilyn Mohr, Izabelle Mohr, Breanna Capes, Rylan Capes and Avery Capes; and his brother Ross Capes (Catherine). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Point Township Church of the Nazarene.
