He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hartmann and Anna Hartmann (Folz) of Mt. Vernon, IN.; his wife Mary Ann Hartmann (Welte); and his siblings, Dorothy Kissel, Rita Hasenour, William Hartmann and Donald Hartmann.
He is survived by: his children, James Robert Hartmann (Mary), Carol Sue Irick and Keith William Hartmann; his grandchildren, Sydney Johnson (CJ), Quincy Irick, Zachary Irick, Ashley Perez (George) and Danny Hartmann; his great grandchildren, Rubie Perez, Rico Perez and Luna Perez; and his sisters, Pauline Denning and Mary Rexing. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Schneider Funeral Home (512 Main St, Mt Vernon, IN 47620). A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 9:45 AM at the St. Matthew Cemetery. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew's Catholic Church (421 Mulberry St, Mt Vernon, IN 47620).
