It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rick Schmitt of Mount Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rick Schmitt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Schmitt and Mary Ann Schmitt (Osban); his sons, Cory and Keaton Schmitt; and his sister Lora Schmitt.
He is survived by: his sons, Jon "Brody" Schmitt (Allison), Cody Schmitt and Andrew Schmitt (Sydney Nelson); his grandchildren, Liam Nelson Brown, Emma Kay Ward-Miller, Tyler Ward-Miller, Trevor Ward-Miller and Trendyn Schmitt; and his siblings, James "Rob" Schmitt and Holly Kaffenberger. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
