He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hamblin and Mary Jane Hamblin (Griffith); his wife Cathy Hamblin (Douthitt); and his siblings, Asa, Roy, George, Dallas and Juanita.

He is survived by: his son Josh Hamblin; and his brother-in-law Thomas Douthitt (Jamie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
