He was predeceased by: his father Elmer Carr; his wife Judith Carr (Walker); his grandson Donald Ray Hamilton; and his brothers, Jeff, David, James and Gerald "Buck" Carr.
He is survived by: his daughter Marla Hamilton; his grandson David Ray Hamilton; and his siblings, Charles Carr, Glenn Carr (Jackie), Robert Carr (Dixie), Stephen Carr (Pat), Margaret Schmidt, Linda Scott, Nancy Barnes (Richard) and Cindy Roeder (Scott). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard.
