He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary Dyer; and his brother James Dyer. He is survived by: his children, Charles Addison Dyer, Jr. (Kathy) of Mt. Vernon, Thomas Earl Dyer (Molly) of Dublin, Ohio and Janet Marie Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; his sister Carolyn Cassida of St. Petersburg, Florida; his grandchildren, Steven Kospender (Carolyn), Erin Kospender, Kristina Millay (Robert), Marcus Dyer (Amanda), Patrick Dyer, Kathryn Reed (Aaron), Emily Dyer and Margaret Dyer; and his great grandchildren, Faith Millay, Harrison and Decker Dyer. He is also survived by his wife of 71 years whom he married.
