He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Eugene and Dorothy Marie Ewing (Oswalt); and his siblings, Myron, Roger, Jack Ewing and Sandra Hemmelgarn.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia L. Ewing; his son Gerald Ewing; his grandchildren, Austin Cross (Kymberleigh), Madison Cross and Mallory Cross; his great grandchildren, Phoenix, Aurora and Asher Cross; and his siblings, Nancy Forry (Lloyd), Melvin Ewing (Rachel) and Beverly Bowman (Harry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
